Greetings to you,

I’ve included an interesting color chart below about the many benefits of plant nutrients, also known as phytonutrients.  These are the special fruit and vegetable colors that are the source of their power to improve and boost our health.

Regarding red colored fruits, a study from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that the pomegranate reduces cholesterol and improves heart health.

Greens strengthen the eyes and support the bones. According to the University of Illinois, broccoli supports bones with its high content of vitamin K and calcium.

Carrots, pumpkins and yams contain orange pigments that are rich in vitamin A, a nutrient known to boost immune function and prevent infectious diseases.
